Cybersecurity Executive & SOC Director | Security-as-a-Service Architect | Builder of Scalable Security Programs | Former Navy Intelligence Analyst

Austin Amraen is a cybersecurity executive, SOC Director, and former U.S. Navy intelligence analyst with a career dedicated to building security programs that protect organizations while enabling business growth. With experience leading large-scale Security Operations Centers, developing next-generation security products, and guiding companies through complex compliance requirements, Austin brings a rare mix of technical depth, leadership experience, and strategic vision. Austin currently serves as SOC Director at CommandLink, where he designed and launched a full Security-as-a-Service platform—including SIEM, NDR, MDR, and XDR solutions—and built the company’s SOC and security development teams from the ground up. Acting as the organization’s de facto CISO, he led penetration testing, governance modernization, and compliance initiatives that helped the company achieve SOC 2, HIPAA, and GDPR attestations for the first time while contributing to multi-million-dollar revenue growth through security innovation. Before CommandLink, Austin spent several years at Coro Cybersecurity, where he created incident response programs, built SOC teams from scratch, and helped manage cybersecurity services for more than 60,000 end users across over 1,000 organizations. He also helped design EDR and MDR solutions, led presales and incident response departments, and implemented security awareness programs that improved customer security posture and service quality metrics. Earlier in his career, Austin worked in IT security support and training roles, where he performed vulnerability testing, developed secure network configurations, and built detailed root-cause documentation that improved system reliability and customer trust. Austin’s cybersecurity journey began in the U.S. Navy as a Cryptologic Technician (Collections), where he produced maritime intelligence briefings for the U.S. Pacific Fleet, fused multi-source intelligence data, and helped train dozens of intelligence watch standers. His military background instilled a mission-focused mindset, strong analytical discipline, and the ability to perform under pressure—skills that continue to shape his leadership style today.
