I’m reaching out to introduce myself as a potential guest for your podcast. My story explores the long-term impact of trauma, identity, and what it means to break patterns that begin in childhood. What started as journaling during CBT therapy for anxiety became a much deeper process of remembering and reflecting on experiences I had never fully revisited — including emotional abuse, bullying, isolation, and the lasting effect of growing up queer in environments that often misunderstood or punished difference. I’m not approaching this conversation as an expert speaking from theory, but as someone speaking from lived experience, self-reflection, and a commitment to honesty. I can offer an open, grounded discussion about how early trauma shapes identity, relationships, self-worth, and adulthood, and what it means to begin recognising those patterns later in life. Topics I could speak about include: growing up queer in hostile or unsupportive environments the long shadow of emotional abuse and bullying how traumatic can shape identity, behaviour, and relationships for decades journaling, reflection, and the process of confronting buried experiences breaking cycles of shame, silence, and survival-based coping living and communicating with dyslexia, and how that shapes self-expression I believe I’d be a strong fit for conversations that value honesty, depth, and nuance around trauma, healing, identity, and personal transformation. My aim would be to contribute a thoughtful and real discussion that resonates with listeners who have lived through hardship, questioned where they belong, or are trying to make sense of their own experiences.
