My name is Shannon McClain-Linton, and I am a children's author, speaker, and founder of Willow & Word, LLC. I live in a small town in Georgia, and my journey into writing children's books began with what I can only describe as a God-given prompting. One day I looked at my husband and said, "You're going to think I'm crazy, but God wants me to write a children's book." At that moment, I had no idea what that would become. Over time, little pieces of stories began coming to me. Characters appeared in my heart before they ever appeared on paper. What started as a single story became a mission to help children discover God's love, recognize everyday God Winks, and understand that they are never alone. Today I am the author of A Wink From God, An Easter Egg Hunt for Jesus, and Boro the Bird Dog. My books blend faith, family, courage, kindness, and real-life childhood experiences in a way that children can understand and connect with. My passion is helping parents, grandparents, churches, schools, and libraries use stories to plant seeds of faith in young hearts. I believe children's books can do more than entertain—they can encourage, inspire, and point children toward God's love. When I'm not writing, you'll find me spending time with my family, loving on my grandchildren, crafting, singing gospel music, and looking for God's fingerprints in everyday life.
