Mirco is the founder of A Creative Block, a coaching and consulting practice for creatives based in Lisbon. He is an MOE-certified coach, studied at NABA in Milan, and spent years as a freelance creative before building ACB. A Creative Block began with a question I spent years answering incorrectly: what kind of creative am I supposed to be? I know what it is like to care deeply about the work and still be unable to move it forward. I searched across design, music, photography, documentary and writing. When each direction stalled, I assumed I simply was not creative enough. Eventually, I understood that creativity was not missing. I had fused the work with my sense of who I was. The turning point was recognising where my creativity had been showing up all along: listening closely, helping people clarify where they wanted to go, building systems that made work easier and gently offering ideas beyond the immediate problem. I began to see a purpose running through those strengths: helping people and their work move forward. A Creative Block brought those two sides together: what I had needed while feeling stuck, and the kind of support I had naturally learned to offer. I knew I could not be the only person struggling with creative identity or the practical problems inside a project. So I created the kind of space I needed then—and one I believe others need too.
