Writer and founder of The Walking Meditation App, Brea is a Doctor of Integrated Behavioral Health (DBH) dedicated to providing mind–body approaches for meeting life's challenges. She began her career in clinical exercise physiology through the Exercise Is Medicine framework, later incorporating the psychological perspective while earning her doctorate. Her practice is built on years of training — studying mindfulness under neuroscience researcher Dr. Judson Brewer, completing a Sanbo Zen sangha program under Henry Shukman of Mountain Cloud Zen Center, and earning her yoga teacher certification in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Walking Meditation is her love letter to her family, her friends, and the world. She currently serves as the suicide prevention strategist for Massachusetts and on the board of Safer Psychedelics Association of New England. Interested in talking about Mindfulness for psychedelic assisted therapy, suicide prevention, grief support, and really just anything.
