Evan Lambert is the founder and owner of Vert Plantworks, an interior plantscaping company based in Phoenix, Arizona, focused on transforming indoor spaces into living, breathing environments. Blending horticulture, construction, and design, Evan is on a mission to reconnect people with nature—especially in a world where most of life happens indoors. Born and raised in Arizona, Evan’s connection to environment and landscape started early. After spending time living in New York—including during the first year of COVID—he returned to Arizona with a renewed perspective on space, wellbeing, and the importance of nature in daily life. That experience became a catalyst for building Vert Plantworks into what it is today. With a background in both horticulture and construction, Evan approaches plantscaping differently than most. He doesn’t see plants as decoration—he sees them as systems. His work integrates greenery directly into the structure and function of a space, creating environments that are not only visually impactful, but also sustainable, intentional, and built to thrive long-term. Through Vert Plantworks, Evan works with both residential and commercial clients to design biophilic environments that elevate how people feel and function in their spaces. Whether it’s a statement installation or a fully integrated plant system, his goal is simple: make nature a seamless, everyday part of modern living. At the core of his work is a clear belief—people are not meant to be disconnected from nature. When we bring living elements into our homes and workplaces, we think more clearly, feel better, and live more fully. Evan’s work is about making that connection effortless and accessible. Having also lived in Scotland, Evan brings a broad, global perspective to his designs, combining natural elements with modern aesthetics in a way that feels both grounded and forward-thinking. Outside of work, Evan spends his time with his family and his dog, Asha. He enjoys playing pickleball, traveling, and exploring new environments—experiences that continue to inspire his approach to design and reinforce his belief that nature should be something we live with, not something we occasionally visit. Through Vert Plantworks, Evan Lambert is redefining indoor environments—turning them into spaces that support wellbeing, creativity, and a deeper connection to the natural world.
