After working many years in small businesses helping them grow, I thought starting my own business won't be that hard. After all I was always very self -reliant. I was the "go to" person for getting things done. But boy, was I wrong. I completely under estimated the mindset and identity shifts that were needed. Underestimated the importance of setting up accountability, systems and structures for myself. My first year was hard. I started to really doubt myself. One day, I actually looked up job openings - reading through them - thinking of going back to working for someone - it felt soul crushing. I knew I had to figure things out. I doubled down on reading, taking courses, listening to people who had succeeded. I spent a lot of time and effort figuring out how move things forward. I realize I was in my own way. I had to work on me. I had to upgrade my mindset, my identity, my habits, my focus, my accountability, my community. The results followed, sometimes immediately - sometimes from seemly out of the blue. Sometimes only after hard work. I want to help people have freedom - freedom to pursue their dreams, freedom to live their lives according to their values, freedom to be their authentic selves.
