I'm a pelvic floor physical therapist, clinic owner, and women's health advocate on a mission to change the way we think about pregnancy care, before it even begins. As the founder of Apricity Physical Therapy in San Francisco, I've spent my career working with women at some of the most transformative seasons of their lives: trying to conceive, moving through pregnancy, and navigating the ups and downs of postpartum recovery. What I kept seeing, over and over and over again, was the same painful pattern. Women coming to see me in their third trimester after trying to manage pain through most of their pregnancy. Pain that, in many cases, could have been identified and addressed long before it began. This is what I'm working to change! I believe that pregnancy care shouldn't start after you get pregnant. It should start the moment a woman begins thinking about growing her family. My approach centers on a simple but somehow radical idea: that you deserves proactive, personalized attention — not just reactive treatment. This philosophy lives at the heart of my clinical work and signature programs. Before Pregnancy, my newest offering, is designed for women who are thinking about getting pregnant within the next year — using that window of time to identify and address the physical patterns, imbalances, and dysfunctions that are most likely to cause pain and complications down the road. My work sits at the intersection of physical therapy, education, and advocacy. I'm passionate about making pelvic health accessible and understandable, translating clinical knowledge into language that helps women actually connect with their bodies, trust their experiences, and make informed decisions about their care. In a healthcare system that has long treated pregnancy as something to manage rather than prepare for, I'm building something different: a model where women are supported from the very beginning, where prevention is the standard of care, and where no woman has to be told that leaking, pain, or dysfunction is normal. My work is rooted in the belief that when women feel strong, informed, and cared for in their bodies, everything changes — for them, for their pregnancies, and for the families they're building.
