Journalist. Writer. Communicator. Leader. Author. From a young age, I loved to write. “I always had an incredible urge to write down what I felt. As my talent and ability to write blossomed, I learned to challenge myself to not just write for me, but to inspire and challenge others — in thinking and being.” I have a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Texas at El Paso with a major in Electronic Media and a minor in Anthropology. During my early college years, I worked primarily as a writer and held a couple of radio jobs. Nearly two decades after graduating, I worked briefly as a TV news reporter in El Paso, Texas. Over the last 20 years, I have attained experience working as a fitness instructor, teacher, helping elderly Alzheimer’s and Dementia patients, and as an editorial writer. I can be described as outspoken and bold, yet sensitive and transparent. These qualities, I think, not only contribute to my calling, but are vital towards using what God has given me to help others learn to find a voice and heal from wounds and pain hindering them from the greatness stored for them. I was born and raised in El Paso, Texas, and also lived several years on the other side of the border in Ciudad Juárez, Mexico. I am a dedicated wife and mother and love spending time and traveling with my family. When I am not writing, you can find me at the gym, hiking, or engaging in any activity that challenges me physically and mentally.
