Well, I don't know how ancient this is, but there's a poet named Rumi who has this poem called The Guest House, and please don't ask me, I'm not gonna be able to quote specific lines from it right here and now, but it's something about, Rumi, R-U-M-I. It's the guest house and it's about how mistakes and negative aspects of your life sometimes haunt you mentally. And in this poem, he's essentially welcoming them. He is essentially giving 'em their a space, but he's giving them a well-defined space, is why it's called The Guest House. And basically saying, all right, yeah, all of my shame and my guilt and regrets, let's say. Sure. You're here. It's mindfulness really is what it is. So here's your place. I'm not gonna try to avoid you completely. You're a part of my existence. You're a part of my mind. And I'm just gonna keep you in your proper space, and not let you overwhelm me."
